Stay Cool Treats

Hi Everybody!
I'm happy to say that it's time for more Jaded Blossom projects today!  Our school year is actually winding up already, so it was time to create some simple treats for my little ones to hand out for the end of the year.  My little one's school encourages treats that are not junk food, so I thought Capri Suns would be perfect!  Here's how they turned out:

(Note: Cricut substitute - penguin from the Simply Charmed cartridge, sunglasses from Forever Young Cricut cartridge)

*Craftwork Cards - Candi Embellishments (Regal Silver, Damask Afternoon, School Days)

*When these Gusset Bags first came out, I thought of how great they would be for all the baked goods I could fit in them.  Funny thing is, I have used them for so many things BUT baked goods so far!

*The Capri Suns were the perfect size!

*I LOVE the new flag die.  It can be used on so many things!  I thought it was the perfect thing for my little penguin to be holding :)

*I added some Candi embellishments for some "water" for my little penguin to splash around in!

I hope you liked my project! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Crazy About Cricut Facebook page HERETFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Heartstring Designs Guest Designer Day 4!

Hi Everybody!
It's time for Day 4 of my week as a Heartstrings Designs Guest Designer!  Here is my project for today:

*I cut one the kraft cardstock from this kit down to an A2 card size.
*The mats are also with the gorgeous paper in this kit.

*I hand cut the frame around this flag die cut.

*I thought this sentiment was perfect for this card!

*I used some of the twine in the kit, and self adhesive paper from my stash to create the twine circle embellishments :)

*Here's a side shot.  I popped up the sentiment flag with pop dots.

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Don't forget to also enter the Heartstring Designs

Heartstring Designs Guest Post #3, and WOW Wednesday!

Hi Everybody!
It's Day 3 of my week as a Heartstrings Designs Guest Designer, and I'm having a blast!  I hope you have enjoyed the projects so far :)

Today is WOW Wednesday over on the Heartstring Designs blog.  Not quite sure what WOW Wednesday is yet?  WOW Wednesday happens the second, third and forth Wednesday of the month!  Each designer (The Craft Doctors) will provide more inspiration using the monthly housecalls kit.  You can always check the Heartstrings Designs blog to see what each Craft Doctor has designed.  There will be a picture of their project, and the link to their project.  Doesn't that sound super fun??

Here is my project for today's WOW Wednesday.  All the supplies I used were from the

I also used these supplies (not included in the kit):

*Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge - bag
*Jaded Blossom - Simple Sayings stamp set (sentiment)
*Creative Memories - circle punch
*Stampin' Up! - scallop circle punch

*After cutting the bag from one of the pretty patterned papers, I used one of the journaling tags to decorate the front.  I matted it with kraft also from the kit.

*To create my corner embellishments, I cut one of the small doilies that comes in the kit into four equal pieces.

*I cut one of the flowers from the row that comes in the kit to add to the top of my journaling tag.

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Don't forget to also enter the Heartstring Designs

Heartstring Guest Designer Day #2!

Hi Everybody!
I'm back today with another project for my Guest Designer spot on Heartstring Designs :)  Today's project is a little mini album using the Flea Market Kit.

The pages in this little album would be perfect for little pictures, a scrap of fabric you like, or jotting down an idea that inspired you!  It's the perfect pocket size :)  Let's take a peek at how it turned out:

*I popped up the main doily sticker with thick pop dots, and used thinner pop dots to pop up the sentiment.

*I also used a black thin Copic marker to add a border around the sentiment sticker.

*The sentiment sticker and the little flag on the left page came as one whole sticker.  To make it fit better on the album, I just trimmed one side off and added it in a different spot!

*I also added some black doodling to that sticker.

*For the right page, I inked the edge of the paper in black, and added a red sticker for a pop of bright color :)

*The journaling tags that come in this kit work perfectly for this kind of project!  I liked this one, because it had the date info on there.  This would make it easy to remember when you had an idea, or took the picture that you can add to the page on the right side.

*I love the camera stickers that came in this kit!  I also added a date sticker, and journaling card to the page on the right.

*I doodled some "staples" on the journaling card.

*To help keep the twine on the album, I added this die cut from the kit and adhered it to the back.

*More black doodling on this die cut too :)

If you'd like to see a tutorial on how I created the base for the mini album, you can check it out on the previous post HERE.

I hope you liked my project!  Come back tomorrow for another creation using this fantastic kit.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

(Just a note:  all products used for this project were included in this kit, with the exception of the border punch, and black pen.)

Heartstring Designs Guest Designer, and Challenge!

Hi Everybody!
I'm so happy to be a Guest Designer for Heartstring Designs this week!  The kits are AWESOME, and are a great deal :)  Let's get to my first project!

The latest Heartstring Designs Challenge started Friday, and it's a great one.  All you need is a step-card, and the Flea Market kit if you have it.  If not, you can still play along :)  Here's the card I created for this challenge:

All the paper, the glitter glue, and the Step Card base is from the Heartstring Designs Flea Market Kit!  The only things not included that I used were the inks.
